Liu Shengsong has consistently been one of the long-term contributors to the Cloudberry community, delivering critical code enhancements for key capabilities including pg_upgrade, external table, gp_expand, and unique index. In the recently concluded PostgreSQL 15 and 16 merge initiative, he served as a core contributor, implementing the MERGE command, contributing critical fixes for ORCA, and resolving numerous parallel test cases — his exceptional code quality and efficiency played a pivotal role in the project's success. His consistent engagement with the community makes him a natural fit for the committer role.
